  • Patrick Mahomes (+120) is favored to win his third career Super Bowl MVP
  • Christian McCaffrey (+450) has 260 total yards with 4 TDs in two games this postseason
  • Super Bowl 58 kicks off from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV at 6 pm ET on Feb. 11, 2024

Quarterbacks have captured the Super Bowl MVP in five of the last seven years. Patrick Mahomes has won twice over that span and is again the favorite to claim the award for the third time.

Will the Chiefs superstar join Joe Montana (3) and Tom Brady (5) as the only three-time MVPs in NFL history or will someone else play the hero in Las Vegas? Before we look at the MVP odds and make our picks, here’s where you can find the best Super Bowl 58 Prop Bets and the top betting sites for NFL football.

Super Bowl 58 MVP

Mahomes favored

Patrick Mahomes (+120) picked up his first Super Bowl MVP trophy against this same Niners team back in 2020, leading three touchdown drives in the final six minutes of Kansas City’s 31-20 comeback victory. He was even better in Super Bowl 57 last year, passing for 182 yards and three scores in a 38-35 win over the Eagles.

Mahomes is 14-3 all-time in the postseason with 11 TD passes and no interceptions in his past six playoff games. While San Francisco is currently a 1-point favorite, the Chiefs were also underdogs heading into Buffalo and Baltimore. If KC captures their third Super Bowl in five seasons, Mahomes likely gets the MVP nod.

Purdy’s MVP path

Brock Purdy (+225) has looked far from dominant this postseason, but he has led the Niners to comeback victories in back-to-back playoff games. (Not bad for the last pick in the draft.) While quarterbacks have claimed 12 of the past 17 Super Bowl MVPs, Purdy’s reputation as a game manager could hurt him.

49ers skill players

Christian McCaffrey (+475) is the top skill-position player on the board. After leading the NFL with 1,459 rushing yards this year, CMC has 260 combined yards and four TDs in two playoff games. And Kansas City ranked 18th against the run in 2023.

Deebo Samuel (+2000) has far shorter odds than both George Kittle (+6000) and Brandon Aiyuk (+7500) despite finishing with fewer receiving yards than both in the regular season. That’s because Deebo has a far greater chance of hitting paydirt on the ground with 19 career rushing TDs.

Travis Kelce?

After looking washed up for most of the year, Travis Kelce (+1200) has caught 16 of 17 targets for 191 yards and three TDs this postseason. The 34-year-old trails only Jerry Rice in receiving yards (1,810) and receiving TDs (19) in the playoffs. However, a tight end has never won Super Bowl MVP and Mr. Taylor Swift would need a rushing score on a gimmick play to even have a chance at the honor.

Best Bets

Patrick Mahomes (+120) is almost inevitable at this point. While he’s our official pick for Super Bowl 58 MVP, Christian McCaffrey (+450) is another obvious choice if you like San Francisco to win their first championship in 29 years.
