FanDuel  finds itself on the cusp of a financial achievement in the state of New York as the latest report from the state’s gaming commission indicates that FanDuel collected $21.4 million in winnings for the week ending January 28th.

This brings the company close to the $100 million revenue mark for the month, with just $152,000 remaining to reach this milestone.

The performance of FanDuel is part of another robust week for the nine digital operators in New York, whose combined revenue of $44.4 million ranks among the top 10 revenue-generating weeks out of the 108 recorded thus far. Although this week’s earnings represent a slight decrease of 6.7% from the previous week’s total of $47.5 million.

The collective hold of the nine digital operators stood at 10.5%, with favorable outcomes observed in both NFL conference championship games. In the NFC, the Detroit Lions’ performance against the San Francisco 49ers provided a balancing act for the house, while in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs’ low-scoring victory over the Baltimore Ravens proved beneficial for sportsbooks.

Despite a slight downturn in handle for the fourth full week of January, totaling $422.3 million and marking a 13.9% decrease from the previous week, New York’s mobile betting activity remains robust. With mobile betting accounting for $1.81 billion through the first 28 days of January, it seems unlikely that the state will reach a $2 billion handle for the fourth consecutive month.

FanDuel’s consistent performance is evident in its revenue postings, with the company achieving a $20 million revenue total for the second consecutive week and the 23rd time overall. The company’s success underscores its position in the New York sports betting market, with an all-time handle exceeding $15 billion.

Should FanDuel secure the remaining $152,000 in revenue in the final three days of January, it would mark a milestone for the company and the state of New York. With only Ohio having achieved a similar feat in the past, the accomplishment would further solidify FanDuel’s status as a key player in the post-PASPA era.

Beyond FanDuel’s performance, other digital operators in New York also saw notable revenue gains, contributing to the state’s overall financial landscape.
