With the 2024 CFL season just over a week away, oddsmakers have released regular season win totals for all nine teams across Canada. Which clubs will surprise and disappoint this year?

Before we look at the win totals, check out all the Sports & Competitions to bet on in 2024. Here’s also where you can see the latest Sports Betting Odds & Picks.

2024 Regular Season Wins

The class of the CFL

Winnipeg (12.5) and BC (11.5) have the two highest win totals in the CFL. While they both play in the West Division, that won’t be a factor this year. Teams will play a balanced schedule for the first time since COVID with all nine clubs visiting each market once.

The Blue Bombers won 14 games last year and 15 in 2022 before losing in the Grey Cup Final each time. They also went 11-3 in shortened 14-game season in 2021 before winning their-second-straight championship. Meanwhile, the Lions racked up 12 victories in each of the past two years. We’ll take the UNDER 12.5 for the Bombers (-115) and OVER 11.5 (-115) for British Columbia.

Argos forced to start backup QB

How many wins is Chad Kelly worth? The league’s reigning Most Outstanding Player led the Argonauts to a CFL-best 16-2 record last season. However, with Kelly suspended for nine games for violating the league’s gender-based violence policy, Toronto’s over/under has been set at 8.5 wins.

Kelly’s replacement, Cameron Dukes, started two games last year while serving as the Argos’ short-yardage quarterback. While he’s a severe downgrade for an offense that scored the second-most points (32.8) in the CFL last season, that’s already been more than baked in. We’ll take the Argos OVER 8.5 wins (-135) with Kelly set to return at mid-season.

Win Totals we Love

Montreal – OVER 10.5 (-115). The Alouettes closed last season with eight straight wins en route to an upset Grey Cup victory over the Blue Bombers. With veteran pivot Cody Fajardo and head coach Jason Maas at the helm, the Als are poised for another strong season. Especially with their main Eastern rivals in Toronto missing their starting QB.

Calgary – UNDER 7 (-130). Jake Maier passed for 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 2023. In his 48-game CFL career, he is 13-17 with 38 TDs and 25 INTs. Despite these numbers, Maier is still the Stampeders starting QB.

Best Bet

Edmonton – OVER 6.5 (-145) – While the Elks only won four games last year, they attacked their offensive shortcomings through free agency. New starting QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson led the CFL with 4,731 passing yards in his last season in the CFL in 2022. Edmonton also signed two-time East Division All-Star Kurleigh Gittens Jr. and Eugene Lewis, giving themselves two excellent receiving options.
