Munster came back from a 10-point deficit at the turn to defeat Ulster and secure the top spot in the standings. In the United Rugby Championship playoffs for the eighth-consecutive time, the reigning champions will face Ospreys in the quarterfinals.

Munster aims to repeat
Munster is a -14.5 point home favorite over Ospreys as they begin their quest for back-to-back URC championships. The Irish side’s nine-game winning streak is reminiscent of the run they went on in 2023 after starting 5-6. However, their path to glory should be much easier this season.
Last year, Graham Rowntree’s squad had to win three-straight playoff road games over Glasgow, Leinster and the defending-champion Stormers to capture the title. This year, they’ll host all the knockouts in Thomond Park, starting on Friday against Ospreys, the first Welsh team to reach the postseason in six years.

Bulls look for 1st title
Bulls’ -19.5 points over Benetton is the largest spread of the four URC quarterfinal matchups. The Pretoria side defeated the Italians 56-35 in the pool stages in May, finishing No. 2 overall in the standings with 13 wins and five losses.
Looking for their first-ever championship, Jake White’s club needs Munster to get upset in the quarterfinals or semifinals for the opportunity to host the Grand Final at Loftus Versfeld.

Ulster injury bug
Leinster is -16.5 chalk over Ulster on Saturday even though the team from Belfast won home and away contests versus the Dublin side in the regular season. Leinster captured four-consecutive championships from 2018 to 2021, but failed to win the title in each of the past two years despite finishing atop the standings.
While Richie Murphy’s squad is capable of pulling off the upset, the injury bug has hit at the wrong time. Center Stuart McCloskey, full-back Ethan McIlroy and locks Alan O’Connor and Kieran Treadwell are all doubtful to suit up in Aviva Stadium.

Warriors vs Stormers

The Warriors are -3 point favorites over the Stormers in what’s expected to be the tightest match of the last eight. Both clubs are separated by just one win in the standings, but Glasgow defeated the Cape Town squad the last time they met back in November 2023.
