Police in Pennsylvania have arrested five people involved in a $170,000 cheating scheme, including a table games dealer at Live! Casino Philadelphia.

According to police, the dealer helped three visitors cheat Live! Casino Philadelphia out of the cash over the span of several days in April. While dealing Baccarat, he would switch hands so it seemed as if his accomplices had won. He also cheated in Pai Gow, by falsely shuffling the tiles.

“For this involvement, HO was paid in cash outside the casino by these players,” the Pennsylvania police confirmed.

The authorities made five arrests in April and May, this included the dealer Khai Ho, as well as patrons Dong Liao, Jessica Yao, Hang Lin, and Van Tran. They were charged with felony theft and misdemeanour cheating. Police arrested Lin and Tran more than a month after the others.

Casino cheating schemes are not unusual in the US. Just last month, a fourth person was charged in a cheating ring at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. This also involved a dealer, who would spin a roulette ball incorrectly and allowing accomplices to bet more after the ball had landed.
