Live casino game studio Evolution has to pay a $7,500 fine after security at its studio in Philadelphia allowed a trespasser to gain access and expose himself in the women’s locker room. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) issued the penalty related to the January 2023 incident as it requires visitors to such studios to sign in upon entry and to have a name badge on when walking around.

it wants companies to be discreet and security-conscious about their operations

The PGCB wants to ensure that nobody can influence the outcome of games or endanger the employees, which is why it wants companies to be discreet and security-conscious about their operations.

Evolution attributed the issue to human error, a poor studio layout, and failure to properly follow procedures. It has since improved the property’s sight lines, added another security officer, and changed its security company. The company also gave extra training to its workers regarding shift changes as the incident happened when about 40 people were leaving the facility and another 40 were entering to start shifts.

The culprit, who has no affiliation with the company, got past numerous security checkpoints and wandered around the facility for about 17 minutes before his apprehension. He inappropriately touched himself while in the women’s locker room and made comments to female dealers.

Security escorted him from the premises after the incident and called the police. Evolution failed to find out the man’s name and police were unable to apprehend him.
