Golf made its glorious return to the Olympic program at Rio 2016 and returned for Tokyo 2020. This year’s field includes 60 of the top women’s players in the world, including Tokyo 2020 gold medalist Nelly Korde.

Who will top the podium in Paris this summer? Before we look at the odds and make our picks, check out the top Golf betting sites in 2024 and find our tips for Betting on the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Women’s Golf Gold Medal Winner

Korda favored in Paris

Nelly Korda (+400) claimed the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Games. While the world’s No. 1 women’s player has already racked up six tournament victories on the LPGA Tour this year, including five consecutive titles, she’s had a terrible run of late. After failing to make the cut at three straight events, Korda withdrew from the Ladies European Tour tournament after being bitten by a dog.

The 25-year-old will be joined on Team USA by Lilia Vu (+900). The world No. 2 won the LPGA Classic in June and placed second at the recent KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Rose Zhang (+1200), the world No. 9, rounds out the American team.

South Korea sends three to Paris

South Korea’s Ko-Jin Young (+1100) and Amy Yang (+4000) rank third and fourth in the world. Yang’s recent triumph at the Women’s PGA Championship leap-frogged her from outside the qualification line to a spot in the Paris Olympics. With Hyo-Joo Kim (+1600), Korea is the only non-American country with three players in the field.

Other contenders

Atthaya “Jeeno” Thitikul (+1000) of Thailand made a 12-foot birdie to win the Dow Championship in late June. It marked the first win for the former No. 1 since 2022. However, she’s earned five top tens in nine starts this season. Canadian Brooke Henderson (+1600) has three wins on the LPGA tour, including two majors.

New Zealand’s Lydia Ko (+3000) claimed the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics and followed that up with a bronze in 2020 in Japan. Can she win gold in Paris to complete the set?

Best Bets

While Lydia Ko (+3000) and Amy Yang (+4000) offer tremendous value as longshots, we like Lilia Vu (+900) to win the gold medal for Team USA.
