A man in Michigan scooped $795,905 after matching all five lottery numbers just one day after he missed out on the jackpot by a single number. The anonymous 53-year-old was playing the Fantasy 5 jackpot when he hit it big.
Talking about the windfall, the Macomb County resident said he buys a ticket for the draw whenever the top prize surpasses $250,000. While he usually goes into a physical store to play, the night of his win he purchased two tickets online as he forgot to get them earlier that day.

He received an email from the Michigan Lottery after the draw saying that he won $1 from one of the tickets. Shortly after, the message was followed by another email informing him of the six-figure jackpot.
When he looked at his account, he saw a transaction for $795,905 pending. The initial disbelief turned into reality when he went in person to the Michigan Lottery office to claim his winnings. When asked how he would spend the money, the 53-year-old said he plans to invest the funds.
