  • Buffalo (3-2) is a 14-point home favorite over the Giants (1-4) in Week 6 of the NFL season
  • The G-Men have a league-worst minus-91 point differential through five games
  • Sunday Night Football on NBC kicks off from Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY at 8:20pm ET

To the dismay of football viewers everywhere, Daniel Jones and the Giants will have yet another opportunity to be embarrassed in prime-time when they take on the Bills on Sunday Night Football. New York has dropped their first three prime-time games of the season by a combined 79 points – suffering blowout defeats at the hands of the Cowboys, 49ers and Seahawks.

Before we check the odds on the week 6 contest, here’s where you can find the best Super Bowl betting tips and the top betting sites for NFL football in 2023.

Bills vs Giants

Daniel Jones under siege

Network executives rushed to put the big-market Giants in premium TV timeslots after the team finished 9-7-1 last season. However, they’re off to a 1-4 start following Sunday’s 31-16 loss to the Dolphins. New York has a minus-91 point differential through five games – that’s the worst in the NFL and 15 points worse than the New England Patriots.

Big Blue is also permitting a league-leading six sacks per game after allowing 16 sacks over the past two weeks. Not surprisingly, Daniel Jones exited the week 5 defeat to Miami with a neck injury, but it sounds like he’ll be back in the lineup on Sunday night.

Buffalo falls asleep at the wheel

After blowing out Miami 48-20 in week 4, Buffalo laid an egg in London on Sunday. While the 25-20 defeat to Jacksonville can be at least partially blamed on jet lag, the Bills inconsistency is something that separates them from true Super Bowl contenders such as San Francisco.

Even more worrisome for Sean McDermott’s club are the cluster of injuries on the defensive side of the ball. Just one week after losing cornerback Tre-Davious White for the season, star inside linebacker Matt Milano left the Jaguars game with a serious knee injury.

Buffalo vs New York

Buffalo is a 14-point favorite at Orchard Park on Sunday night and the over/under is set at 44.5 points. It’s difficult to see how Wink Martindale will stop the Josh Allen-Stefon Diggs connection. The 29-year-old receiver is in the midst of a career year with 520 yards and 5 TDs through five games.

The G-Men are allowing the fourth-most points in the NFL (30.6). While their pass defense (226.6 yards allowed per game) can be generously described as “middling,” their performance against the run (151.4 ypg) ranks third-worst league-wide.

Will Saquon return?

With an utter inability to protect Daniel Jones, the Giants have failed to score points in garbage time all year. Their 12.4 points per game ranks only above New England (11.0).

The return of Saquon Barkey would sure help, but the star running back might not want to rush back from his high-ankle sprain given the state of the team and his contract status. Forced to settle for a one-year deal in the offseason, Saquon’s No. 1 priority should probably be himself.

Best Bet

We like the Bills to bounce back in a big way on Sunday night. We’ll take the Bills to cover the -14 points with the OVER.
